Made me think about all the time when my life revolved around cookies...There is no man who appreciates freshly made cookies more than I.
I used to date women and treat them like queens for the small price of some homemade oatmeal cookies with raisins...Ha I used to drive almost 3 hours just to see them with a huge smile on my face...Dinner, drinks and other stuff but when I left I always had a dozen cookies and a huge smile on my face.
Nothing beat drinking my morning coffee and snacking on a cookie or two...It seems like so long ago like I was a lil kid and could be pleased with the smallest of things.
I never was into big, shiney, expensive gifts...My whole mindset was "It's the thought that counts."
So something someone took the time to make no matter how small the cost always ment much to me.
I think this transfers over to most of life...There are people who think they have to be on the go go go! Or if they're not at a party every Friday and Saturday they are missing out or losers.
Now it's okay to party every now and then...Wine is good for the soul...But happiness I find comes in small bites...Little things, making a great dinner and having friends and family "Ooooo" and "Ahhhh."
Walking your dog around a park...Hell even sitting down with a journal and writing in a bookstore cafe is more than relaxing it's just happiness in a dollop.
Things aren't what they appear Dear Readers...By Xmas many here will be in dire straits...Which means no more fucking around...Means teens will HAVE to BE adults and adults will now HAVE to BEHAVE like adults.
Some of us older kids semi-understand...I actually worry about Y and Z generation...I think they know but they don't understand...They been brought up in a totally different way where material things mattered more than they should.
However if they can master to love little things...Silly things then they'll be fine.

I made my first ever cookies today, with white chocolate and raspberries.
Slightly over cooked the first batch but they're still edible. I kinda put too much dough into each cookie though so a tray of 9 seperate cookies came out as one giant super cookie that I had to trim down.
These certainly are'nt health food that's for sure. Taking a 250g pack of butter, cutting a small 25g slice off the end and putting that back in the fridge while you dump the big bit into the mixing bowl won't be good for the waistline :D
